Tryon Fine Arts Center hosts sculptors, painters and craftsmen from all over Western North Carolina; this is the home of some of the well known painters and sculptors, such as Pamela Raltray Brown and Dusenberry. Two major golf courses and country clubs are within 10 miles. It is 8 miles to Green River which has hunting and fishing privileges.
