Dr. Jeff Tomberlin will present on his research in the development and validation of standard operating procedures for measuring microbial populations for estimating postmortem intervals. This seminar series presentation will describe both the function and structure or a microbial community on human remains. This research will eventually aid in determining if arthropod colonization and decomposition of remains influences the outcome of a microbial community.
