Democrats exceed April fundraising goal

We simply can't say it enough -- thank you.

After Republican Speaker Boehner’s admission that the Republicans’ hold on the House is in jeopardy, we are so proud to announce that we exceeded our April fundraising goal and broke yet another fundraising record. In the last week, you helped us raise over $1.1 million to win a Democratic House! On April 30th alone, over 20,000 of you made a donation.

Your generous contributions are being put to work immediately.

In Arizona, we are fighting to keep Gabby Giffords’ seat in Democratic hands. Your support has helped our Democratic candidate, Ron Barber, put ads on the air about his commitment to protecting Medicare. When National Republicans launched misleading ads against Ron, you helped us raise $150,000, and we responded with an ad laying out the facts. You can watch both ads here.

We have also reserved media time in 26 critical Republican districts nationwide to help our Democratic candidates fight attacks from Republicans and their secret money-funded SuperPACs. Thanks to your support, we can expand to even more races.

We are well on our way to having the most sophisticated get-out-the-vote and rapid response operation in the history of the race for the House. Field organizers are already on the ground in 36 districts recruiting volunteers and talking directly to voters.
