FDA Continues Dialogue on 'Nano' Regulation

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is continuing a dialogue on nanotechnology begun in 2011 when it published proposed guidelines on the evaluation and use of "nano" (small) materials in FDA-regulated products. Now the agency is issuing two new draft guidelines on the use of nanomaterials in the manufacture of cosmetics and substances added to food.
