CONTRACTS
AIR FORCE
Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $191,009,635 firm-fixed-price contract to procure Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) Model B turret and high definition electronic units, MTS containers, and shop replaceable units. The location of the performance is McKinney, Texas. Work is to be completed by Sept. 30, 2012. ASC/WIIK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-11-G-4050).
Northrop Grumman Technical Services, Herndon, Va., is being awarded a $52,848,888 fixed-price-incentive-firm, cost-reimbursement, and firm-fixed contract for the pod upgrade program. This program is for non recurring engineering services for engineering manufacturing development phase, delivery of four prototype upgraded pods and two each modified sets of support equipment, production of low rate initial production upgraded pods as a basic contract option with quantities from one to 42. Low rate initial production support equipment will be a basic contract option manufacturing development phase, contract options for production lots in quantities from one to ninety. Along with production pods, the contractor shall produce production pod support equipment kits in quantities from one to 12. The location of the performance is Warner Robins, Ga. Work is to be completed by April 19, 2017. WR-ALC/GRWKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8540-12-C-0004).
NAVY
Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $126,512,656 modification to a previously awarded advance acquisition contract (N00019-11-C-0020) to provide for the production and delivery of 24 mission avionics systems and common cockpits for the MH-60R for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. In addition, this modification definitizes the previously awarded advance acquisition contract to a firm-fixed-price contract for RAN MH-60R systems. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y. (58 percent); Farmingdale, N.Y. (25 percent); Woodland Hills, Calif. (4 percent); Ciudad Real, Spain (3 percent); East Syracuse, N.Y. (2 percent); Victor, N.Y. (2 percent); Everett, Wash. (1 percent); Stratford, Conn. (1 percent); St. Charles, Mo. (1 percent); Bennington, Vt. (1 percent); Lewisville, Texas (1 percent); and various locations throughout the United States (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed in March 2017. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
Barnhart Balfour Beatty, Inc., San Diego, Calif., was awarded a $9,154,517 modification on March 23 to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price task order under a multiple award construction contract (N62473-10-D-5407) to exercise option item 1, which provides for the design and construction of the Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 39 Individual Equipment Issue Warehouse at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The total contract amount after exercise of this option will be $18,308,263. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
VRC, Inc., San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $6,882,359 firm-fixed-price, definite-quantity contract for information technology support services in support of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Naval Postgraduate School. This contract contains two one-year option provisions, which, if exercised, will bring the contract value to $20,910,845. Work will be performed at Monterey, Calif., and is expected to be completed April 30, 2015. The applicable Operations, Maintenance, and Navy funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received in response to the solicitation. The NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00104-12-C-Q525).
Niking Corp.*, Wahiawa, Hawaii, is being awarded $6,739,442 for firm-fixed-price task order 0003 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N40192-10-D-2802) for design and construction of the Guam Strike Clear Water Rinse Facility at Andersen Air Force Base. The work to be performed provides for the design and construction of a clear water rinse facility consisting of a reinforced concrete pumphouse, a 14 inch reinforced concrete pad, a below ground rinse water supply tank, a valve control box, and a waste water sedimentation collection tank. Work will be performed in Yigo, Guam, and is expected to be completed by October 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Six proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas, Guam, is the contracting activity.
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Tennier Industries*, Boca Raton, Fla., was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum $98,616,757 for modular sleep system and components. Other location of performance is Tennessee. Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. There were four responses to the Web proposal. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds. The date of performance completion is Sept. 30, 2013. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPM1C1-12-D-1012).
DEFENSE THREAT REDUCTION AGENCY
Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a four-year, cost-no-fee reimbursement contract. This contract, with acumulative value of $30,718,054, consists of a base period with 12 months of performance, valued at $9,057,732; and one option period with 36 months of performance, valued at $21,660,322. Fiscal 2012 research, development, test, and evaluation funds have been committed for the base year of this contract. The objective of this contract is for Arizona State University to develop a prototype of a chip-based, fieldable health monitoring system for the warfighter. The device will be able to detect changes in the warfighter's health for early detection of infection. This proposal was selected in response to a chemical/biological broad agency announcement that is advertised on a continual basis. Performance will take place at Tempe, Ariz. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is the contracting activity (HDTRA1-12-C-0058).
