from MarketWatch.com - MarketPulse
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks finished mostly higher on Tuesday after European officials sealed another round of aid for Greece, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average to briefly surpass 13,000 for the first time since May 2008. "To a large extent, this is a continuation of a rally we saw in January. Valuations are pretty good, there is a lot of money on the sidelines, investors are underweight equities generally, and there is a lot of money being pumped into the system," said Adrian Day, president of Day Asset Management in Annapolis, Md. The Dow industrials gained 15.82 points, or 0.1%, to end at 12,965.69. The S&P 500 Index added nearly 1 point to 1,362.21. The Nasdaq Composite fell 3.21 points, or 0.1%, to 2,948.57.
