Reagan reached out, but Bush doesn't« Thread Started on Dec 21, 2006, 4:25am » --------------------------------------------------------------------------------December 20, 2006 Reagan reached out, but Bush doesn't I was astounded by Jerry Sullivan's statement in his Dec. 16 letter that George Bush "has done far more than any president in recent history to reach out to the opposition party." President Bush claims to be a "uniter, not a divider," but the facts certainly don't bear this out.http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a ... NES04Would a uniter charge that Democrats want to wait "until we're attacked again'' before responding to threats? Would he renominate judges who had already been rejected by the Senate? Would he issue 750 signing statements on laws passed by Congress?
