CBO sees falling deficits in 2012, 2013

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. budget deficit will fall to $1.08 trillion in fiscal 2012, the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday, while the country's jobless rate will average 8.9% in calendar year 2012. In its budget and economic outlook for fiscal 2012 to 2022, the CBO also projected that the economy will expand by 2.0% in calendar year 2012. In fiscal 2011 the deficit was $1.3 trillion.
