Gold futures close at $1,606 an ounce
from MarketWatch.com - MarketPulse NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures fell slightly on Friday in holiday-thinned volume, mostly tracking moves in the U.S. dollar. Gold for February delivery fell $4.60 to $1,606 an ounce, after topping $1,615 an ounce in early action. The market closed early for Christmas.
