NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures extended their gains Thursday after the government reported a steep drop in jobless claims and a better round of revised GDP data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 142 points to 11,118. Futures for the Standard & Poor's 500 Index climbed 14.8 points to 1,163.50, while futures for the Nasdaq 100 gained 29.25 points to 1,216.74.
