On March 23, 2011, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) will release preliminary estimates of state annual personal income and per capita personal income for 2010. The per capita personal income estimates for 2010 will be calculated using the April 1, 2010 decennial census population counts that were released by the Census Bureau on December 21, 2010. Revised estimates of per capita personal income for 2001-2009 will not be released at this time because intercensal state population estimates consistent with the 2000 and 2010 decennial census counts are not currently available. In September 2011, BEA plans to release revised state personal income estimates for 2008-2010 and estimates of state per capita income for 2001-2010.
