Secretary Clinton to Deliver Remarks on Foreign Policy to Students and Professors from Historically Black Colleges and Universities

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver remarks at the Foreign Policy Briefing for Historically Black Colleges and Universities on Wednesday, February 23 at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Department of State.
This is the second Foreign Policy Briefing for Historically Black Colleges and Universities hosted by the Department’s Bureau of Public Affairs. The 350 conference participants are students, professors and staff from 18 Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Johnnie Carson, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Philip J. Crowley, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities John Silvanus Wilson, Jr., and other senior State Department officials will participate in the conference.
The conference will be open to credentialed members of the media from 1:00-2:05 p.m. in the Loy Henderson Auditorium.
Pre-set time for cameras: 11:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby. Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 12:45 p.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby.
This half-day conference is being held in recognition of African American History Month. The goal is to provide students with information about U.S. foreign policy priorities as well as information about career opportunities with the Department of State.
