Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Navy Vice Adm. Mark I. Fox for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. Fox is currently serving as deputy chief of naval operations for operations, plans, and strategy, N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Navy Rear Adm. William A. Brown for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Brown is currently serving as director, strategic, policy, programs, and logistics, J-4/5, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
