Senior Executive Service Announcements

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced the following Department of Defense Senior Executive Service appointments, reassignments and senior leader:

Michele Gomez has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as director for standards (accounting), Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Columbus, Ohio. Gomez previously served as chief of staff, deputy directorate for strategy and support, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Columbus, Ohio.

Christopher A. Kapellas has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as deputy director, Human Resources Directorate, Washington Headquarters Services, Washington, D.C. Kapellas previously served as supervisory program planning analyst, Washington Headquarters Services, Washington, D.C.

Gregory Schmalfeldt has been assigned as deputy site director, Indianapolis, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Indianapolis, Ind. Schmalfeldt previously served as deputy director for standards, Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Indianapolis, Ind.

Peregrine D. Russell-Hunter has been appointed as a senior leader and is assigned as deputy director, Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals, Defense Legal Services Agency, Arlington, Va. Russell-Hunter previously served as supervisory attorney-advisor (general), Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals, Defense Legal Services Agency, Arlington, Va.
