U.S. stocks open higher on Friday to 14,473
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - U.S. stocks rose on Friday, rebounding from their biggest drop in nearly a month as stronger-than-projected results from Nike Inc. and Tiffany & Co. bolstered sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 51.30 points, or 0.4%, to 14,473. The S&P 500 index gained 6.25 points, or 0.4%, to 1,552.05, with Micron Technology Inc. and Nike leading gainers in the benchmark. The Nasdaq Composite index advanced 14.53 points, or 0.5%, to 3,236.
