Senate to vote Wednesday on stopgap budget: Reid
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The Senate on Wednesday afternoon will take a final vote on a bill to keep the federal government funded through September, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said. If passed by the Senate and later by the House, the so-called continuing resolution would head off the threat of a government shutdown after March 27. Reid, a Nevada Democrat, said there would be votes on a series of amendments before final passage.
