General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Army Reserve Col. Christie L. Nixon for promotion to the rank of brigadier general and for assignment as deputy commander, U. S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Va. Nixon is currently serving as commander, U. S. Army Reserve Element, U. S. Central Command, Tampa, Fla.

Army Reserve Col. Brently F. White for promotion to the rank of brigadier general and for assignment as deputy commanding general, 75th Training Command (Initial Entry Training), Houston, Texas. White most recently served as assistant division commander, Headquarters, 95th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), Fort Sill, Okla.
