SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The Senate Finance Committee will vote Tuesday on the nomination of Jack Lew, President Obama's pick to be the next Treasury Secretary. Lew, 57, would succeed Timothy Geithner. During his congressional nomination hearings, Lew pledged to work with Congress on comprehensive tax reform and promised to hold China accountable for its trade practices. He further said it would be challenging to cut the U.S. corporate tax rate to 25% from its current 35% as part of tax reform.
