Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

Navy Reserve Capt. Christina M. Alvarado, has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Alvarado is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, Navy Medicine East, Norfolk, Va.

Navy Reserve Capt. Priscilla B. Coe has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Coe is currently serving as reserve affairs officer, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Falls Church, Va.

Navy Reserve Capt. William K. Davis has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Davis is currently serving as deputy assistant chief of information, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Navy Reserve Capt. Mark J. Fung has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Fung is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, First Naval Construction Division, Virginia Beach, Va.

Navy Reserve Capt. Daniel L. Gard has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Gard is currently serving as joint task force Guantanamo chaplain, Joint Task Force, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Navy Reserve Capt. Alma M. Grocki has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Grocki is currently serving as commanding officer, Navy Reserve, Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C.

Navy Reserve Capt. Victor W. Hall has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Hall is currently serving as commanding officer, Naval Reserve Navy Medicine Education and Training Command, Jacksonville, Fla.

Navy Reserve Capt. Daniel J. MacDonnell has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). MacDonnell is currently serving as navy reserve commanding officer, U.S. Tenth Fleet, Fort George G. Meade, Md.

Navy Reserve Capt. James R. McNeal has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). McNeal is currently serving as commodore, Fifth Naval Expeditionary Logistics Regiment, Point Hueneme, Calif.

Navy Reserve Capt. Brian S. Pecha has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Pecha is currently serving as force surgeon, U.S. Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, La.
