Treasury prices get boost from FOMC statement

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Short-term Treasurys swung to a gain Tuesday while longer-term issues pared losses after the Federal Reserve said it will continue its aggressive easing program. Yields on the benchmark 10-year note rose 1 basis point to 2.01%, after being as high as 2.04% earlier, and the yield on the 30-year bond was up less than 1 basis point to 3.19%, after being up as much as 3.15% earlier in the day. Yields for 2-year notes , 3-year notes , 5-year notes , 7-year notes declined, pushing prices into positive territory, following the FOMC statement.
