U.S. home prices up 0.6% in Nov: FHFA

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- U.S. house prices rose a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in November, according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency's monthly house-price index released Wednesday. Compared with the same period in the prior year, prices are up 5.6%, according to the index, which is based on data from Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac mortgages. Despite gains, prices remain 15.2% below a 2007 peak.
