The Senate has reached an agreement to consider the fiscal cliff legislation. The Senate will now proceed to the consideration of H.R.8 and the substitute amendment, which is the fiscal cliff language, will be agreed to. There will now be up to 10 minutes for debate prior to a vote on H.R.8, as amended. No amendments or points of order are in order to the substitute amendment or the bill. The vote on passage of the bill is subject to a 60-affirmative vote threshold.
