FDIC Makes Public November Enforcement Actions; One Administrative Hearing Scheduled for January 2013

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today released a list of orders of administrative enforcement actions taken against banks and individuals in November. One administrative hearing is scheduled for January 2013.

The FDIC issued a total of 73 orders and one notice of charges, which includes two orders issued in August and October, respectively. The orders included: ten consent orders; six removal and prohibition orders; one cross guarantee liability; 18 civil money penalties; one prompt corrective action; one voluntary termination of insurance; 19 section 19 orders; 17 orders terminating consent orders and cease and desist orders, and one notice.
