WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama would veto House Speaker John Boehner's "Plan B" proposal to extend current tax rates for all income below $1 million, the White House said Wednesday. Boehner's bill "does not meet the test of balance," White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said. A House vote on the bill is expected Thursday. Republicans proposed the bill as a backup plan in case talks aimed at averting the fiscal cliff fall apart.
