FDIC Supervisory Insights Winter 2012 Issue

On December 17 2012, the FDIC released the Winter 2012 issue of Supervisory Insights. This issue is now available on www.fdic.gov at http://www.fdic.gov/regulations/examina ... index.html.

This issue of Supervisory Insights features two articles of critical interest to examiners, bankers, and supervisors: an overview of mobile payments technologies, including a discussion of the potential risks and an explanation of how banks can ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations; and a discussion of high-yield checking accounts, including a review of the typical features of these accounts and issues that may arise with account disclosures and promotions.
