WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - President Barack Obama is likely to nominate Chuck Hagel, a former Republican senator from Nebraska, to be the next Secretary of Defense, according to a report by Bloomberg News. White House spokesman Jay Carney refused to comment on rumors that Hagel was being vetted for the post. Hagel is currently the co-chairman of Obama's Intelligence Advisory Board.
