Stocks end higher after late-session turnaround to 13,345.89

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- In a late-session turnaround, U.S. stocks erased losses on Monday to end marginally higher as investors considered corporate-earnings reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 2.38 points to 13,345.89, turning higher in the last few minutes of trade. Hewlett-Packard Co. and UnitedHealth Group Inc. led the Dow higher. The S&P 500 index gained less than a point to end at 1,433.81, edging into positive territory at the very end of the session. The Nasdaq Composite rose 11.34 points, or 0.4%, to end at 3,016.96.
