Stonewall Democrats of Dallas: Health
Care Demonstration Rally
EVERYONE who wants true health care/insurance
reform NOW
come to CityPlace Monday morning!
Hi, everyone!
The national media is turning its attention to Dallas Monday
morning, the 17th, at the health care legislation discussion
between Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson and Congressman Pete
Sessions. We have confirmation that
ABC's Good Morning America and FOX are covering the event.
Their competitors might decide to come as well.
This is our BIG opportunity to show Americans
that Texans want health care for all and that we do want a public
option. In order to accomplish that, we have to call on every
one of you who can possibly attend to be part of that picture.
Here are the details:
What: Dignified, Pro-reform demonstration
at Charting America's Health Care Future
When: August 17, 7:00-9:30 am
Where: CityPlace Tower, SE corner of Central Expressway and Haskell
How: Wear a plain white t-shirt and meet in Target parking lot
across the street at 7:00 am to receive signs and instructions.
We will assemble the demonstration at 7:20 am. We will hold signs
and be silent as the media and passersby observe.
ALSO: There will be a sign-making party
to prepare for
this event this Sunday from 3pm to 6pm at The Progressive Center
located at Southside on Lamar, 1409 S. Lamar, across from the
Dallas Police Headquarters. Even if you can't make Monday's event,
this is a way to contribute and to be a part of the message we
send.
Thank you for standing up for health care/insurance
reform!
